Children need nurses

Dear healthmatters—The government’s razzmatazz in launching it’s pilot Charter for Children attempts to disguise its serious flaws.

It completely ignores the recommendations of the Clothier Inquiry into the Beverley Allitt case.

The charter will mean nothing if it does not address these, particularly the recommendation to improve staffing levels on children’s wards.
